摘要:
本文利用甘肃省民勤县农户调查数据,运用样本选择模型实证研究了社会网络对农户节水灌溉技术采用的影响及其作用机制。结果表明,社会网络对农户节水灌溉技术采用有显著正向影响,其作用机制在于社会网络可以通过拓宽农户获取信息渠道,为其提供更多的有效信息,从而有助于提升农户技术认知水平,降低技术采用风险,最终促进农户技术采用。因此,未来技术推广过程中应该更多地发挥社会网络这种非正式组织在技术信息扩散中的媒介作用,加强和完善技术推广中信息传播机制建设,拓宽农户信息获取渠道,进而促进农户采用节水灌溉技术。此外,技术培训、平整土地、规模化经营、水价改革和技术推广等相关配套政策措施也应得到重视。
Abstract:
Using the data from Minqin County, Gansu Province and the Heckman Selection Model, this paper was aimed to investigate the role of social networks and its mechanism in farmers’ water-saving irrigation technology adoptions. Our findings suggested that social networks have a significant positive influence in promoting farmer’s adoption rate, as it can broaden farmers’ access to effective and useful information and thus increase their cognitive level, decrease the technical risks and finally enhance their adoption. The future technical extension will benefit from the effective employment of such social networks, which help spread useful technical information. We need to strengthen the mechanism of such kind of informal source, and widen the channels of technical extension, so that social networks can play a more important role in promoting farmers’ water-saving irrigation technology adoption. Several policies, including information dissemination mechanism construction, technical training, extension services, farmland leveling and water price reform are recommended to promote technology adoption and diffusion.
